Prominent politicians, government officials, thousand supporters and well wishers besieged Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi to welcome His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu from Abuja where he was recently awarded the Leadership Man of the year. The Governor arrived the Birnin Kebbi Airport at about 3:00 pm where he was received by a large and ecstatic crowd.
Seen in the crowds are; the Secretary to the State Government, Alh Babale Umar, Chief of Staff Government House, Alh Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, Deputy Speaker Kebbi State House of Assembly, Honorable Buhari Umar Aliero and many top government functionaries.
The Governor went round the city to great his people and thank them for the cooperation and support rendered to his administration in the State.
Students of various Secondary Schools in Birnin Kebbi are also seen at designated points welcoming the Governor waving placards and reciting solidarity songs.
The Governor finally arrived Government House where he briefed the crowd.
He expressed his happiness and gratitude to the people who welcomed him adding that the award is for the entire people of Kebbi State especially the farmers.
The Governor disclosed that his administration has planned to create job for the teeming youths in the state through Youths Empowerment Initiatives. He directed all the political thugs to register their names at the State Party Headquarters in a bid to provide job for them.
