The Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose has promised to tone down his criticism of President Buhari's administration and to cooperate with the minister of works, power and housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola.
He made this pledge during Fashola's working visit to the Ekiti state government house recently as part of his South West tour.
Fayose said those promises were made because the minister assured him of more support from the federal government to achieve development objectives.
He said "We would be praying for your success, there is nothing to ask, because you’ve said it all, and we don’t expect you to do all in one term”.
“If we would be getting this much help, we won’t be criticising the federal government like this.
“Maybe because of you, I will tone down. But remember that a blind man has no way of knowing until it gets to his mouth. He would say what you promised me is already in my mouth" Fayose added.

Typical Yoruba man!!! Criticizing a govt is not the same thing as condemning the govt. Every successful govt needs criticism to align with goals that would help her achieve common purpose for the greater good. Fayose, u will let down many people if u stop playing that role; because, u are the only fearless governor we have in Nigeria. The only person we thought had the gut to call a spade a spade. I guess they have succeeded in buying u over and silencing the voice of the people. I weep for the country.

".........because you have said It all and we don't expect you to do all in one term." that sound political in my ears. Is Fayose Campaigning for Buhari's second term already? Hmm! In politics they say "no permanent enemy and no permanent friend but permanent interest" we are watching out for 2019 drama already.
