A tomato seller has come forth to claim the N250 million discovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Balogun market.
The man, whose identity was not disclosed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said the money was from the proceeds of his trade in tomatoes.
The man was said to have claimed that he brings tomatoes from the north to sell in Lagos.
Asked why he did not put the money in bank, he said he does not use banks.
It was however discovered that some of the money in bales with bank wrappers had stamps dated as recent as 6th April, 2017.
The man was subsequently arrested and his statement taken but has been given an administrative bail as investigation continues.

This shows how dumb ass Nigeria system is where the whole system is flawed. If the EFCC can release ill gotten money back to Mama Jona why can't tomato seller come forward. Your all need to start thinking

it's the court that released the money, not the EFCC.

U can't tell because most of the money in circulation in that country are blood money so efcc should be very careful so they won't go about claiming blood money from people houses..
