Monaco have won four of their last five home games against German opposition (D1), in all competitions. In fact, their only defeat on home soil versus a team from Germany was against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the UEFA Cup back in October 1996 (0-1).
Monaco can reach the semis of the Champions League for the fourth time after 1993/94, 1997/98 and 2003/04. No other French team has made the last four more than once.
Monaco have won 70% of their home games in the Champions League (21 out of 30). Among clubs to have hosted at least 30 games, only Real Madrid (76%), Barcelona (73%) and Bayern Munich (71%) have a better rate.
Monaco only had two shots on target in the first leg against Dortmund, scoring with both of them as well as benefiting from a Sven Bender own goal.
Monaco have conceded 15 goals in the Champions League this season, more than any other team among the remaining quarter-finalists.
Only Barcelona and Bayern Munich (4) have been awarded more penalties than Monaco (3) in this season’s Champions League. However, none of them have found the back of the net.
Borussia Dortmund have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the third time in the last five seasons.
