Daughter of one time commissioner in then Bendel State and Professor of law at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Prof. Jim Akhere, Uwade Helen Akhere has been offered scholarship from 11 universities in the US.
The 18 year old graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School, has been offered scholarship to Cornell University, University of Chicago, Hampton University, Tulane University, Howard University .
Others are Northwestern University which offered her two scholarships.....Northwestern Scholarship and the 1851 Scholarship,Villanova University, Rice University and University of North Carolina.
The Esan born beauty did not leave her high school empty handed as she also got awards there also. The awards include National merit Scholarship commendation, achievement awards for Charlotte Civitan Citizen and Charlotte post top senior in the class of 2017. Also the 2017 Signet II , Volume XXII, graduating compendium of the school shows her coming tops in debate, speech and Theology, among others.
Reports have it that her proud father has called his daughter a 'genius'.....and she sure is.
