LIONEL MESSI and Co make the difficult trip to Lisbon to face a Sporting CP side who have made a mightily impressive start to the season.

Jorge Jesus’ team are second in the Primeira Liga, trailing rivals Porto by two points, and are unbeaten in all matches this season.

They dropped their first two points of the season away at Moreiense at the weekend, ending a six-game winning streak.

That winning run included a 3-2 win away at Olympiacos in their opening game of Group D.

Barcelona are top of La Liga with a 100 per cent record – they’re already seven points clear of Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi, especially, is a man reborn.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner already has NINE goals in just six La Liga matches – he also got a pair of goals in a brilliant 3-0 win over Italian giants Juventus in their opening Champions League match.
