Senator Shehu Sani has revealed how he turned down the request of a group of youth to purchase his nomination form from the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna.
The senator representing Kaduna Central District, Shehu Sani, has taken to his verified Twitter page to reveal that some "struggling youth" offered to purchase his Senate nomination and expression-of-interest forms, but he turned down the offer because he didn't want to be in the "league of that deceptive political tradition".
The outspoken politician had purchased the election forms towards realizing his ambition to re-contest for a seat in the National Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A tweet on the request by the youth to buy his nomination form via his handle on Monday read:
"A group of youth struggling for daily bread approached me that I should permit them to announce that they bought a nomination form for me, as part of the political tradition, I politely declined. I don’t want to be in the league of that deceptive political tradition. They agreed".

The lawmaker also alleged in another tweet that a friend gave him "pepper and a handkerchief" to rub on his face to "shed tears", when he was collecting and submitting his forms, a gesture, which he also said he declined.
