Well, we didn't see that one coming! a twist in the tale. I believe you would recalled the viral story of a man who claimed his young baby had a whole in his heart and needed a huge some of money for the baby's surgery abroad, Nigerians rally around the man and were able to raise over N70M (£150,000) in less than 2 days (this feat is not possible even in western countries). Fast forward to today, the new updates Gistmania is getting from the founder of the foundation that organized the crowd funding and donation are starting to complain about the entire situation and revealing that the father of the baby has now absconding with the entire £150,000 that was raised for the baby and cut off all communication ties to everyone involved! Sounds familiar right? What does that smell like? Yes, you are right, good old fashion charity scam, it is unfortunate that Nigerians have resorted to this means to dupe other well meaning people of their money, as sad as it sounds, you would be shocked to know that, it is the end of the entire saga, there is actually no enforcement of law against incidences like this in Nigeria, scratch that, there is no enforcement of any kind of law in Nigeria, hence the reason it is a jungle that it is today.
Here are updates that were provided by the charity, KBKonline regarding the incident:
