Based on your explanation, I think the two should keep apart.  If there is a child or children connecting the two, it is a different case otherwise, everybody go your way.  Be polite to each other when you see one another in public forum.  That is all.  There is a reason why both of you broke up.  No need for any further lovey dovey friendships.
