The internet was set agog with a controversial moment when a former Chelsea footballer, Didier Drogba made a selfie with  other football stars using his iphone 6, raising comments and speculations about his simplicity despite his wealth.

A Nigerian decided to express his anger for the materialistic nature of most Nigerian 'slay queens' in the comment section of the footballer's post, in his words;

Drogba, a billionaire is using iphone 6 but slay mama with carry overs in school, trying to prepare for exams wants iphone 11 because she wants to snap in front of a mirror & post on twitter.


Another commenter wrote; Drogba uses iPhone 6 to take selfie, not like he can't afford the best phones in this world but we take material things too serious

Abeg make una leave my guy alone, he supplies his country with help aids and he is useful to his country. Wettin Tontoh and bubrisky dey do than to constitute nuisance with their iPhone 11. Not everybody is materialistic.
