Earlier today, Adeyanju staged a protest in front of the headquarters of the National Human Rights Commission to canvass for obedience to a court order by the Buhari administration got more than he bargained for.

videos posted online show hoodlums, and counter-protesters unleashing the rod on Adeyanju and his fellow protesters. Adeyanju received a beating he never saw coming as a result he was hospitalized.

Posts on Twitter claimed that the police watched the attack without making any effort to protect Adeyanju.

The incident has once again triggered some umbrage against the Buhari administration for its intolerance of dissent.

There's no way the northerners will not have their own country! These people are very backward, illiterate, killers and disease bearers. They do not operate under any lawy and seem to get away with anything! Now, they have oil, please let them leave us alone!

All those presidential hired Northerners thugs by the APC and third cabals that are involved in this disgraceful act I pray that they all will never know peace in their life, and what they did to you today I believe that more calamities and evils shall befall every one of them and their families that are involved in this shameless act by a brainless shameless Government under a military dictator. Nigerians need to arise and fight for Jusice rather than waiting till they will be enslave by all those brainless Fulani gorrila tugs from Northern Nigeria.
