Two suspected Abuja car snatchers have been arrested by the FCT Police Command after they were traced to their hiding place in Kano and Edo states.

Information gathered by Naijauto says one of the car snatchers, identified as Ehiosu Kennedy, had snatched a motorist's vehicle at gunpoint close to Kabusa Junction, Abuja on the first week of December 2019.

While parading the two suspects with other robbers on Tuesday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, said the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of its Command trailed Ehiosu to his place of escape in Benin City, Edo State.

Following his confession, the second suspect, 29 years old Ibrahim Umar who was his accomplice, was apprehended at his own hiding place in Ruga and in his possession was the gun the suspects used for the operation.

Bala said,

The robbery, Auwal Abubakar, 30, stole his employer's Toyota Avensis in Abuja and swapped it with another model, Toyota Corolla, before fleeing to Kano state where he was nabbed.
