The executive governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has tested positive for the coronavirus. The Governor announced his test result on his official twitter handle today and assured other citizens of the state that he is continuing to self-isolate.

Here is the official message from the governor:

I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate.

Probably a byproduct of the stupid and ill-advised rally with ignoble looters that he hosted recently in Ibadan. Hope he lives to learn good lessons from this experience.
