Forbes have their credibility in tatters after embarrasingly admitting to a monumental mistake in declaring Kylie Jenner as the world's youngest 'self-made' billionaire without carrying out their due diligence. The company has gone ahead to release yet another very controversial list of highest earning boxers in 2020, declaring Tyson Fury who only had one fight the highest earning boxer with a net earning of $57 Million while Anthony Joshua who had two high profile matchups with Andy Ruiz, First in Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York and the other in Riyad, Saudi Arabia. Anthony Joshua has been reported to have earned $42 million from the Madison Square Garden bout and another $85 million from the rematch in Riyad, Saudi Arabia yet Forbes is reporting that Anthony Joshua made $47 million in both fights and also all his many high profile endorsements with likes of Beats by Dre, Lucozade sports drink, Tescos and several other high profile brands.
Boxers on Forbes' new top 100 highest-paid athletes list (from June 2019 to June 2020):
— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) May 29, 2020
Tyson Fury - $57million
Anthony Joshua - $47m
Deontay Wilder - $46.5m
Canelo Alvarez - $37m
Forbes has clearly lost the plot and this report if anything to go by is yet another disgraceful work of research and lazy journalism by our colleagues at Forbes. At this rate, their credibility will continue to be called into question by credible reporting outlets like ours.
