It was indeed a sad day for some families in Isanlu, the Headquarter of Yagba East local government area of Kogi state as some yet-to-be identified robbers which were 8 in numbers attacked the First Bank in their community.
The robbery attack started around 4:30pm which lasted for almost an hour.
It was reported that before the robbers carried out the operation at the bank, they had first gone to the police station in Isanlu community where they shot the DPO to death and seven other police officers that were on duty.
Not only police officers were killed, they also shot two criminals who were present in the cell including another civilian bringing it to a total of 11 dead people.
Among the officers killed, PC Aminat Yusuf who just passed away happened to be one of the victims during the incident. It was stated that she just finished from the Police Training School less than a month ago.

Report says that the robbers were able to escape because some police officers and military men had been transferred to Kabba to ensure total lockdown in the state.
