What started as a very peaceful movement, protesting against the continuous impunity and police brutality in Nigeria has rapidly turned into an uncontainable situation as the Nigerian government unleash heavily armed soldiers on peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll gate in a rather well coordinated attempted to shut down the #EndSARS protests.

Men removing the CCTV at Lekki Toll Gate

Earlier on, some men who were identified as from the 'Government' were seen un-mounting the CCTV that covered the Lekki Toll gate area. Although, this move spooked several protesters as  it was a sign that something sinister might be on the cards. While some protesters decided to resign on this note, several others stayed put and rightfully remained behind. As Darkness dropped, the government turned off the billboards and street lights that provided illumination for the protesters, the incidences that occurred afterwards can be descrived as a monumental disgrace to any democracy. Flag bearing protesters were shot at very close range by men of the Nigerian army, under the command of top Nigerian military officers. There were several injuries and unconfirmed number of fatalities so far.

Celebrities and other popular social media influencers have been sharing video clips of these incidences in order to shed more light and draw the international media and news agencies to cover the incidence and gross abuse of human rights. We at Gistmania totally condemn the actions of the Nigerian government in killing innocent protesters, we hope our publishing colleagues in other parts of the world will join us in this battle to give people the voice and fundamental human right to express their displeasure when things are not right

You should include your thesis statement into your introduction paragraph. It should unite all your arguments ( https://educibly.com/ ). Forecast your arguments in a thesis statement. Present your best argument first
