This came just as the state government placed a ban on the use of commercial motorcycle popularly called ‘Achaba’ from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. indefinitely.
The two policemen were killed by men who rode on two motorcycles.
Bauchi State police command confirmed the killing of the policemen, but refused to give details while the state government, in a press statement, declared that the act was perpetrated by “suspected members of the discredited Boko Haram militants.”
According the press release, a copy of which was made available to Saturday Tribune in Bauchi, “most people, especially residents of Bauchi metropolis, are aware of the terrorist acts of the past two days perpetrated by suspected members of the discredited Boko Haram militants.”
