A letter dated 26th August, 2020 has surfaced on the  internet allegedly written by the leadership of Fulani Socio-cultural Association also known as the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, nominating one Ambassador George Obiozor to succeed Chief Nnia Nwodo as the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, as he is the man they believe can protect their interest in the Eastern region.

In the letter, they alleged to have secured the support of the Imo State governor, Mr. Hope Uzodinma to support their choice candidate largely because they are privy to the information that it is Imo State's turn to produce the next president.

As seen in the alleged leaked letter, the group promised to reward Chief Nnia Nwodo for his cooperation, which will come as an immediate appointment by the Presidency following his compliance.

As at the time of this report the Fulani group have not released any statement to address this development, whereas the leadership of the Ohaneze Ndigbo have come out to strongly condemn and distance itself from the said letter which they claim was just brought to the attention of Chief Nnia Nwodo yesterday.

They further argued that Chief Nnia Nwodo have never stayed in the address mentioned in the letter, they also wondered loudly why the group’s president is just seeing the letter that was dated August 26th.

They advised the general public to discountenance the letter and see it as the pitiable handwork of unsuccessful detractors, they however admitted, that it could be that the letter was a handwork of a would-be aspirant or a group with vested interest, if so, they promised that is has certainly back fired and is now of no effect.
