Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has revealed that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, told him that he would win the September 19 governorship election.
According to him, he visited Pastor Adeboye on two different occasions before the governorship election, and the man of God assured him that “all will be well”.
“About the time when the crisis started a year ago, I came to the (RCCG) camp with my wife and met Daddy G.O.”
The governor said he went back to meet the cleric shortly before the election.
Obaseki, therefore, urged the congregation to hold on to God in the face of life vicissitudes, saying with God, all things are possible.
It had been reported how Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who was ‘anointed’ by political heavyweights like Bola Tinubu and Adams Oshiomhole in this year’s Edo State Governorship Election.
