The abducted #KankaraBoys have become somewhat of a phenomenon in Nigeria after over the past few days. Their release today came as a rather pleasant surprise to several people including the president, Muhamadu Buhari.
The president jumped on a call with the governor of Katsina state, Aminu Bello Masari who briefed him on the release of the school children and how the deal was struck to secure their release. Some people have insinuated that the entire scenario was an inside job to gain attention while others seem to be perplexed by the lack of availability of any security infrastructure in the country.
