'Stay-at-home' Order comes into Force In Kano State, Civil Servants Ordered To Remain At Home

Kano state government has directed all civil servants to stay at home till further notice as confirmed cases of COVID-19 rise in the state.

The government also imposed a fresh ban on viewing centres and ordered immediate shut down of all event centres across the state.

Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, made this known in a statement.

He stated that the measure was part of decision arrived at a stakeholders meeting held at the Africa House, Kano on Monday.

Malam Garba, however, explained that workers on essential services such as the healthcare service providers, fire service, water board, teaching staff, security guards, and the media are exempted from the ban.
