A five-year-old boy, Feranmi Oloyede, was found dangling on a tree at the back of his house, Moferere in Ajilosun area of Ado-Ekiti last Friday. Residents in the area were shocked when they discovered the body of the boy, who was described as being lively, hanging on the tree.
Daily Sun investigations revealed that the primary 1 pupil of St. Louis Nursery and Primary School, Ikere-Ekiti, was playing with a rope tied to the branch of the tree and, having climbed a table under the tree, he tied the rope around his neck and his leg slipped off the table and he got hanged. Since there was nobody at the back of the house where he was playing with the rope, he had died before he was discovered.
Efforts to contact his parents, especially his mother, who had a shop at a shopping complex at Moferere proved abortive as she had been taken away to an undisclosed place to console her. Residents had fled the area for fear of police arrest, because it was being rumoured that the boy was killed by some faceless people and later brought to the compound and noosed to make it appear he hanged himself.
When Daily Sun contacted the spokesman of the state Police Command, Mohammed Jimoh, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP), he said the command was not aware of the incident. The remains of the boy, sources said, had since been buried.

what did u expect when a school does not make provision for a proper playing materials for its alumnies, they are bound to play with whatever they see. poor child may his gentle soul rest in peace.

how on earth can such a child hang himself? does it mean he was alone in the house that no 1 could come to his rescue. i smell a rat honestly.......may his gentle soul rest in peace.

ooooh my goodness am very so sorry for the parent of the child , it seem like the boy he is trying to practices what he watch in the movies so parent pls try to be careful and try to know what kind of movies your little children are watch

There is some fishing that we re yet to knw. How can a 5 yrs old child av the strength to tie a rope as strong as to hang him. The way a rope use for hang is tied is different from normal way of tieing a rope. A child of that age could nt have had that technique. All the same, may his soul RIP.

what kind of supper story is this one again and u people have believe it that a boy of 5yrs old can hang himselve why not hang himselve when he was still in his mother's Stomach. why people can not say the simple truth of how they killed that little boy,go and hang him on a tree claiming that he hang himselve and u want me to believe this Nonsence. poor boy ,anyway may his soul rest in perfect peace Amen....
