Popular disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Cuppy has revealed that she experienced racism when she moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 13.

Racism is one of the dangerous things every black person has faced in foreign countries.

DJ Cuppy is not the only Nigerian celebrity who has experienced racism growing up in the midst of white children. Artists like Davido, Tiwa Savage, and many others have shared their own piece of how they nearly bleached their skin due to how uncomfortable they were amongst their peers.

In an interview with one of the media houses in the UK, DJ Cuppy told the host on the show how she felt different among her peers and also experience racial prejudice when she moved to the United Kingdom at age 13.

She disclosed how difficult it was for her because she never faced racism in Nigeria because everyone was black.

“For me, it was very difficult because growing up in Nigeria, I didn’t really experience racism,” she said. “My teachers were black, the doctors were black, lawyers were black. So, moving to the UK, and especially moving to the US, is really where I started to notice the disparity and where I really started to experience racism.”

“The minute I moved here, from thirteen in boarding school, I always realized. It was pointed out that I looked different, I sounded different, my background was different, my culture was different. And no amount of money, no amount of positioning can ever change that.”

She added that in spite of what many think, she still has to “kick down doors” in the entertainment industry.

The person who complains the most about racism is himself a racist. Maybe we can show how hard it is for whites to have their feet rubbed in it. No, I don't want to defend anyone, but I have faced this problem personally. Remember what happened in Lebanon, in Germany, when refugees began to rape other country citizens, children, kill women. Then these people demanded shelter and freedom. What is happening in the U.S., have you forgotten? Let's be honest. If you were abused as a child by white people, it's all their fault. Right? That's what you think. If a black man bullied me, I also blame everyone who belongs to that race. And race, by the way, determines mentality and thinking. There are savages, but even in a normal environment, a savage can never pretend to be human because his animal instincts kick in. And don't tell me about humanity. Judge for yourself, there are reasons for this, or isn't it enough for you? Do you need to blow up the internet?

Well, it's so sad to hear stories like this. Racism is an awful thing, and I wish it were possible to get rid of it. And black skinned people indeed face it more often, but it's not fair to say that only they are affected by racism, but people with white skin or Asian people, or someone with other skin types or nationality. But of course, because of movements, the most attention is dedicated when it involves black-skinned people. I can say it from my own experience. I've been working on one project connected to racism for some time, and I find info that proves my words. I also found this site https://papersowl.com/examples/racism/ with various racism essay examples, and from a few I read can say that most attention information is about racism toward black-skinned people. And in my paper, I want to provide more information and examples so that everyone can feel what racism is.
