I Pleaded With Princess For Four Days To Drop Baba Ijesha’s Case But She Refused -Iya Rainbow

Veteran Nollywood actress, Idowu Phillips, popularly known as Iya Rainbow,  has stated that she begged Princess to drop Baba Ijesha's defilement case for four days but she refused. Speaking in a recent chat with BBC Yoruba, Iya Rainbow said she did everything humanly possible to get Princess not to escalate the case but she did not succumb. According to her, she said now that Baba Ijesha has been released, things have to be resolved amicably among the theatre practitioners.

“Before the matter was settled, I asked the princess for four days not to take the matter to court. I urge her not to let this matter get louder, but she refused. Now, see how the whole thing played out,” she said.

She also stated that either Baba Ijesha is guilty or not, their group must rise up and settle things amicably. She, however, prayed for peace to reign among each of the party involved so that the case will be resolved.

Mama Rainbow, I am disappointed that you did that, rather than let due process take its course. Actions such as what you claimed to have done is the reason why segxwal molestation, rape and other abuses continue to be rife in our society. I am ashamed to read your comment. I lost every respect for you tonight after reading this. It is incredible that a woman would have done what you've done.  You also attempted to pervert the course of justice which is a potential crime before the law.
