Arsène Wenger’s crusade against “violent football”, like charity, should probably start at home after Cesc Fabregas became the latest Arsenal player to step over the line with a heavy tackle in victory over Wolves.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was gracious in accepting apologies from both Fabregas and Wenger after the player had launched a dangerous, careless lunge on Stephen Ward, for which the Arsenal man was lucky to be only cautioned.
“I thought it was brilliant; he’s been in to apologise and Ward’s accepted it,” said McCarthy, in his own inimitable, no nonsense fashion. Read More: http://indepthafrica.com/?p=2382

In my opinion English refferees have not been fair in terms of officiating. There are tackles that are wrongly gudged, for instance the tackle on Abu Diaby that almost broke his leg was surprisingly overlooked by the man with the whistle, not even a warning goes to the oposing player. How could you adgudged arsenal as the dirtiest. Statistics shows that tackles arsenal has won so far is more than the ones they've conceeded.

3 or 4 years ago Arsenal were definately the dirtiest team in the league. We are not just talking about violent tackles, but cheating, acting like they are hurt, and spitting on opponents.
They are not like that now though.

They're not dirtiest team, but they're the most economist team in premier league, they simple Love to make lots of gain from talented players without given out much to retain them, and that will be the problem they will face in nearer future, if they continue like that. Look at them loosing Gallas to Tottenham and they paid heavily for such mistakes with many players they couldn't retain in their pay list. many of them Adebayor and so on.
They should simple sit up and meet up players demand.
