
Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo, cast his ballot for Professor Chukwuma Soludo in Tuesday’s supplementary election in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He said he chose to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) because his party could not make it as planned.
According to Nwankpo, who voted at Umuapani ward, Polling Unit 004, Okija, he consulted with Ihiala youths before deciding to vote for APGA, which he said has 90 percent chances of winning the election.
When asked, whether his decision has ADC backing , he said that the move was personal and it will enable him key into the laudable achievements of the APGA-led government of Governor Willie Obiano.
He commended the security agencies for ensuring a peaceful environment before, during and after the election.
