CAN Condemns Gruesome Murder Of Travelers In Sokoto, Says Human Life Is Cheap Than Chicken

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Thursday, December 9, has condemned the gruesome murder of innocent travellers by bandits in Sokoto State and attacks on citizens of Nigeria by bandits. The association lamented that the activities of bandits have further shown that human life was cheaper than that of chickens today in Nigeria.

A statement personally issued by the CAN Vice- Chairman, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, called on the Federal Government and governors in the north, especially the northwest region, to take proactive measures to stop the evil permanently.

CAN asked: “How can people be productive when they are living in fear both at home and anywhere they go?” The statement observed that security of lives and properties was serious government business, lamenting, “but what we are seeing today is how some of our leaders are playing politics with a serious matter that has almost destroyed the peace, joy, and hope of the citizens.”

I don't know why people are sympathising with the North for the deaths being recorded in the region. These people don't value life . It means nothing to them. Can't you see how they are spreading the killings all over Nigeria? How can a sitting president of a country order his soldiers to carry out genocide in a particular   region? That's what is going on in the South East as we speak. Our problem in Nigeria is the North. They are evil.
