romans 14 tells us that god is no respecter of persons, we are all equal in the site of our god. Many of us become christian leaders and seem to forget that anyone can be used by the lord for his purpose.

thank God you didn't generalize, you are only talking from the teachings of your religion-book. In Islam, HUMAN-BEINGS are not equal before God; their positions vary from that of the believer to non-believer, from a believer of good attitude and character to a rude/harsh/callous unbeliever, from a reverent-believer to an irreverent one, et cet era. all this people are graded and judged before God (the Creator) accordingly.
In all, the bests of all these series are the righteous ones; Allah says (meaning):
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Q 49 Vs 13.
