The two official photos of the squad with one consisting only the final 25-women players selected by Coach, Randy Waldrum for the biennial tournament while the other photo consist the players, the coaching staff and other crew members of the Nigeria delegation for the competition, were published on Super Falcons’ twitter account on Sunday afternoon.
Super Falcons who are the most successful team in the tournament and have won the last three editions will begin their title defense campaign against continental arch rival, the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the opening match of the Group C on Monday, July 4th, 2022 at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
The tournament will also produce Africa representatives for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup as the top four teams will qualify for the competition billed for Australia and New Zealand.
