Baba Ijesha Sentenced To 16 Years In Jail For Assaulting a Minor

An Ikeja Special Offences Court has convicted the embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, of segxwally assaulting a 14-year-old minor.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement on Thursday, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, segxwal assault and attempted segxwal assault.

Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of count one and count six, which were: segxwal assault by penetration and attempted segxwal assault by penetration.



At the time of filing this report, the case has been stood down for a a few minutes for sentencing of the convict.

The actor has now been sentenced to 16 years in jail

The writer failed to say the sentence would all run concurrent.
He'll spend 5 years not 16 years as mentioned in the write up.

It's a great thing to see him convicted for his lack of self control.
I don't and I'll never condone child abuse or defilement of any kind. We should remember not to over react on any issue. I could see some women over jubilating on this issue.
Some are even clamouring for his penis and testicle to be cut off.......Common! Law is not that crude and heartless like us human being.
Sentence is there as a form of punishment and correction for the offender not to repeat such act.
It gives us the chance not to repeat such act.
But the way these women in this video were acting was like Lanre Omiyinka should be hanged or castrated.
Law does not act like human being. Police and the Judiciary did a great job to prosecute and convict him. But I'll hate this to be a selected justice, simply because of the relationship issue between Lanre Omiyinka and Princess who is the adopted mother of the juvenile.
Let's see any other pervert punished like him Baba Ijesha.

Exactly my point! They made Baba Ijesha a scape goat due to personal hatred towards him. Especially the way Princess was dumped for another girl by Baba Ijesha. 
In the beginning,  you could hear the likes of Iyabo Ojo spitting fire that they'll use their connection with Governor Sanwoolu and people in government to make sure Baba Ijesha was completely destroyed.
Child sex, molestation and defilement is very very bad but Baba Ijesha's one was done out of personal vendetta.
