Obasanjo endorses Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), as Ikeja outlet opens

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has described Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), as an international brand that would bring a lot of good to Nigerians.
 
Speaking in Lagos at official commissioning of the Ikeja branch of the quick service restaurant, located at Allen, the ex-president said having being partnership with the company for years and familiar with its foods, he had no doubt in his heart that its sojourn in the Nigerian market would be a prosperous one.   

To the management of the company, the commissioning of the additional outlet last week was a sign of good development in the business of fast food restaurant.

According to KFC's CEO, Marc Schreuder, KFC is an internationally acclaimed iconic restaurant brand which has claimed its fame for its original recipe and hot & crispy chicken cooked with the eleven (11) secret herbs and spices.

He stated that the company, has in the last one year opened shops at City Mall, The Palms, Ligali Ayorinde, Surulere and Apapa, adding that it is presently in 80 countries worldwide with branches totalling over 14,000 across the globe.

His words; "KFC's superior chicken is cooked fresh every 40 minutes, according to international standards and has become the benchmark for the highest quality food in Nigeria. It has sold its famous chicken "buckets" since 1957 when its founder colonel standards took to the road in the USA and began bringing his legendary chicken recipe to the people."

Speaking further, he added that since its arrival to Nigeria in the beginning of 2009, it has taken local populace by storm with its great atmosphere; cutting edge designed restaurants and super well trained staff.
