I Told You to Get a Gun - Burna Boy Mourns South African Rapper AKA

Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has mourned the tragic death of South African rapper AKA.

The 35-year-old rapper was shot dead outside a popular restaurant on Florida Rd in Durban, South Africa on Friday February 10, 2023.

In what seemed to be a song via his insta story, the Afro-fusion superstar expressed shock over the demise of the rapper, revealing the news turned his positive mood sour.

ODOGWU claimed he advised AKA to acquire a gun after the deceased saw his and tagged him wild.

Burna confessed despite their differences in the past he never envisaged death for AKA while hoping the culprits are brought to book.

WTF is all of that about? I just heard he died, seen that video at that restaurant. Took me out of a positive mood/ Took me back to that day when you saw my gun and you said I was wild/ Then I told you you should have one too.
But I didn’t want you dead, it was like that with me and you, have one too/ Cuz it weren’t like niggaz wasn’t dying but I thought you knew/ And I ain’t really f**k with you/

AKA, one of SA’s best rappers was engulfed in a war of words with Burna Boy during Xenophobic attacks in South Africa and other times”, he wrote.


In a separate post, the self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ shared the image of a dove, love emoji accompanied with the words; “RIP AKA.”

Even if he was having 100 guns he would have still be dead, just go watch the video, the hitman came from behind unexpectedly and shot him direct in his head, sad how wicked people can be anyway let me not be judge over this because maybe they must have done something we don't know secretly
