Lordmukete, I need not ask what you call yourself; you are not funny asking what I call myself. You are 99.99% damn wrong. There is what we call "PROFESSIONALISM" in the military. As a soldier you stand out among others. You do not act in any way negative that may bring discredit upon the military, the nation and the government in power. As a soldier you are a leader, you lead by example. You take action and take responsibility for your actions. As a soldier you are not given police powers. You are highly disciplined and must portray so at all times. During mob control, that is when your professionalism manifest and put to test. You have to use what is called "TACT". Bring your leadership skills to work, you understand, communicate, motivate, and, direct. Public, mob, or call it civilians are not meant to be disciplined, that is why as a soldier you stand out by the way you conduct yourself; so you are not in the same shit of music with the crowd. You must be well acquainted with crowd control. You use your discretion to detect in the crowd when things are about to happen and you abide by R.O.E. (Rules Of Engagement). Even in a situation of war, there is war crime. There is a different between killing the enemy and commiting murder. I fight with those Hausa Style soldiers in the street every time I come to Nigeria because every time I see them beating up people, that is uncalled for. When you see things unusual, you ivestigate, and if necessary report to higher up and the appropriate authority. You do not take laws into your hands, man-handle, torture or kill; its extra judicial. The individual you doing this to was not of imminent danger to you. It is your duty to control and maintain the situation. Did that answer your question?
