A critic expresses dissatisfaction following the claims of homophobic lyrics made by the Afrobeat singer, Davido in his latest Unavailable track.
Concerns, however, were raised about the lyrics of ‘Unavailable’ which was termed homophobic against the LGBTQ+ community.
The verse in question says;
I carry woman (woman)
Shey na man wey I for carry?
phyuk all the rumours Abi,
e get when I talk say “I be pastor”
A Twitter user identified as @mazpa took to the platform to condemn Davido for spitting at the face of the LGBTQ+ community with his lyrics.

@vbw_riakosher noted: “Lol you people on this Twitter are so unbelievable. Someone declaring he’s straight is homophobic? Wawuu!”
@yvonnezaa wrote: “But he’s just trying to say he’s a straight man now, you people sef.”
@Davoski94 added: “First thought, when I first heard it. It was unnecessary tbh.”
@Poison22989266 noted: “Twitter and always looking for angles.. how many times have people made that statement just as a jab.
I can tell my friend he’s a womaniser and in his defense he will say “ABI na man I wan follow” same goes to straight women using the line.”
@Burmese_Tyga_ said: “You realize you are not the only gay Nigerian on Twitter yeah? Can’t you just swallow nut like your peers and STFU?”
