Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, professionally known as Spyro, has gone back to his former neighbourhood.
He visited the place he used to reside before stardom so that he could relive his memories and count his blessings.
The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ hit-maker, shared a video of his visit on his official Instagram page and penned a heartfelt post about gratitude.
Spyro advised people to never use their current situation to judge themselves as everyone is a work in progress.
In the video, he revealed that the house was the first place he resided when he came back to hustle in Lagos. He drove to the area and walked the remaining distance to show fans his small room.
Spyro recounted how he went with his mother to meet the landlord of the building to beg him so that he could pay the annual rent for the room in two installments.
He revealed that it was also his mother who gave him the money he used to pay the house rent. The musician gave thanks to God for transforming his life.
Sharing the video, he wrote; “I am that one leper who will always return to COUNT HIS BLESSINGS and give all glory back to GOD …
