Some youths have defied Lagos State Government’s order not to stage a protest in the state following Mohbad’s death, as they took to the streets on Wednesday.

A planned protest by some Nollywood actors and fans in honour of Mohbad, was earlier cancelled following a request from the Lagos State government.

The protest, originally scheduled to take place today, was intended to run from Oba Akran Road in Ikeja to the Governor’s office in Alausa.

However, it was called off at the last minute due to concerns over safety, as there were fears it could be hijacked by hoodlums.

But some youths who were not happy about the development staged a protest in Ikeja to demand justice for the music star, whose death was shrouded in mystery.

The youths were armed with placards, one of which reads: “Justice for Mohbad, RIP Mohbad, Mole.”

The singer died on 12 September, 2023 at the age of 27. His death has raised dusts across the nation as many believed he was killed.

The Lagos State Police Command has begun investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise, while Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the police in the investigation to ensure that justice is served.

Yeye People. OBIDIENTS Have taught them how to engage in an organised movement. You would have seen them burning, looting and destroying people's properties. They are wasting their time protesting for someone who died like every other Nigerian while prices of foodstuffs are hitting the sky. Don't forget to protest for your stolen mandate.
