Protest In Abuja Over Sack of 21 Heads Of Agencies By FCT Minister, Wike

The sack of 21 heads of agencies by the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike has left workers in Abuja protesting.
 
Recall that Wike also sacked the Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company Managing Director, Najeed Abdulsalam.
 
Staff of the company are currently protesting the sack of the agency’s MD.
 
FCT Minister, Wike, had on Wednesday ordered the removal of heads of FCT agencies and parastatals.
 
Wike on Wednesday approved the immediate termination of the appointments of 21 heads of parastatals, agencies, and government companies of the FCT Administration (FCTA).
 
This was disclosed in a statement by his Director of Press, Office of the Minister, Anthony Ogunleye.
 
Wike also ordered the affected appointees to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior officers in rank.
 
The staff members of AUMTCO were in tears, as they protested Abdulsalam’s removal.
