In a shocking incident, a sex worker identified as Zara Tua was brutally murdered by two men who had checked her into a hotel in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory. The tragic event unfolded following a heated argument in their hotel room, leading to Zara's fatal stabbing.
Witnesses reported that one of the men used a pair of scissors to stab Zara multiple times, inflicting severe injuries to her stomach and other parts of her body. A local resident, who requested anonymity, recounted the morning's grim discovery: "We woke up to the devastating news. Zara was stabbed in seven different places after a dispute with the two men."
Police promptly responded to the incident, with officers from the Byazhin Police Division arriving at the scene to find one of the suspects, Maman Ajiya, severely beaten by an enraged crowd. Zara, along with the two suspects, was rushed to Kubwa General Hospital, where medical staff confirmed her death.
The FCT command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrests of Maman Ajiya and Usman Lawal, both of whom have no known address. According to Adeh, "The FCT Police Command received a distress call from Galaxy Hotel Byazhin about a violent altercation leading to the stabbing of Zara Tua. Immediate action was taken, and the suspects were apprehended."
The community remains in shock as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding Zara Tua's tragic death.
