A Nigerian man, Mr. Donatus Aghaulor Ntuabunauzor, from Otolokpo Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, has expressed sadness over the brutal killing of his aunt, Mrs. Adaorie.
Mrs. Adaorie,67, was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Tuesday January 16, 2024, inside her compound while lying down on a mat to receive fresh air.
Speaking to Ika Newspaper this week, Mr. Ntuabunauzor, who is based in Lagos, stated that the deceased was a humble and hardworking woman who never stepped on anyone's toes. He said that her assassination by yet to be identified persons was act of wickedness.
He affirmed that killing of his aunt is truly painful and a huge blow to the entire family and Otolokpo in general, appealing to the appropriate authorities to do everything possible to apprehend those behind the assassination of the deceased.
The traditional ruler Otolokpo Kingdom, HRM Alioma Collins Ezenwali, condemned the gruesome killing of Mrs. Adaorie.
The traditional ruler described the incident as shocking, disturbing and a huge blow to the entire Otolokpo Kingdom, saying that the deceased was an upright and hardworking woman who loved and cared for her family.
He affirmed that the unknown gunmen have thrown Otolokpo Kingdom into mourning and as such, he will do everything in his power to unravel the evil perpetuators, saying that they will not go unpunished.
