The Lagos state government has concluded plans to relocate the popular Computer village market in Ikeja, the state capital to Kantagora in Abule Egba area of the state.
Speaking to newsmen today, February 17, an official of the state government said the move is part of the Urban development agenda by the state government for the state. He stated that the state government is trying to reorganize all its markets in the state.
Quote
‘’In Ikeja, we have the Computer village which is being relocated to Katangora. It is not just the Computer village alone. There are other activities that will happen in the Katangora market. In the next coming weeks, you will see government efforts in Katangora. We are moving those people who seem to be on the road in Ikeja obstructing traffic into a proper market with all the services including Creche for their children, schools, playgrounds, Mosques, Churches, hotel facilities, storage rooms, warehouses and al. We are trying to do things in a proper way''
