The representative for the Asa LGA in Kwara State House of Assembly, identified as Hon Ruqayat Shittu, disclosed her routine of engaging in tailoring work at her store following her legislative responsibilities.

The lawmaker, recognized as one of the country's youngest female legislators, shared a video on Facebook, showcasing her operation of an embroidery machine in her shop.

She emphasized, "Despite my public role, I remain industrious. As many of you are aware, I have a passion for fashion, and I am committed to delivering top-notch products and services to my clientele."

Her post included the phrase: "Ise ni ogun ise, Ise ni afin di eni gi ga" (being resourceful and focused takes you to the pinnacle of your career). Get busy, please work.”

Ruqayat, who graduated in 2022 with a degree in mass communication from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), currently serves as the Chairperson of the House Committee on Youths, Sports, Information, and Tourism in the 10th Kwara assembly.
