Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has expressed confidence in winning the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in April and the main election in November this year. Aiyedatiwa, who assumed office as Ondo State governor less than two months ago, revealed that his predecessor, the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, had predicted his ascension to the governorship position. He described Akeredolu as a prophet who foresaw his future role as the next governor of the Sunshine State.

Speaking at a meeting with officials and members of the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers in Akure, Aiyedatiwa emphasized the certainty of his victory in both the primary and general elections, attributing it to the divine promise of God. According to a statement by the LACO-FS State Director of Information, Mr. Kayode Fasua, Aiyedatiwa assured his supporters to remain steadfast in their efforts.

The governor recounted Akeredolu's prophetic declaration during an executive council meeting after returning from a medical vacation, where he affirmed that Aiyedatiwa would emerge as the next governor. Aiyedatiwa hailed Akeredolu as a visionary leader and expressed gratitude for his endorsement.

Aiyedatiwa clarified that his ambition to contest the governorship position extended beyond his joint ticket with the late Akeredolu. He emphasized his sincere mission to transform Ondo State and enhance the standard of living for its people, underscoring his commitment to the state's development.

We hear. A man who knew about his own medical condition and that he may be forced to step aside for his deputy to continue isn't (wasn't) a prophet. It is disturbing that a state governor would come up with such a ridiculous assertion. Only in NGR.
