Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has called on developers in the nation’s capital to always cooperate with the FCT Administration in the area of tax payment.

The Minister said this when a delegation from the Nadeem Group, led by the Special Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. George Tolofari paid a courtesy visit to the FCT Administration on Wednesday.

Wike urged companies in the FCT to ensure the prompt payment of its taxes, insisting the government would be unable to construct roads and public buildings without the payment of taxes.

“…I also encourage you to make sure that you pay your taxes because that is what drives the government,” Wike said.

“Abuja is not like other states where they get money from the Federation Account. We are only relying on taxes”

He also assured that the FCT was safe for investors to come and invest, adding that security and job creation were among the top priorities of the FCT Administration, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
