NFF Set to Demote Head Coach, Finidi George, Says Foreign Coach is Required

According to sources, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) plans to renegotiate Finidi George’s contract, downgrading his role and salary after hiring a foreign coach for the Super Eagles

An official revealed that Finidi’s current monthly salary of approximately 15 million Naira, signed in a one-year contract with a performance-based option for an additional year, will be revisited.

The NFF, facing financial constraints, cannot afford to pay Finidi’s existing salary while also covering the foreign coach’s salary in foreign currency.



Finidi’s contract will be revised, and he faces a “take-it-or-leave-it” situation.

I give Finidi a great respect as a footballer.  I think he's too light weight to be a head coach of the Suoer Eagles.
He's not getting the respect of the players. He handled the team fir theor games against South Africa and Rep of Benin and lost woefully in the two games.
Obviously, his tactics was not right for the team. He doesn't look to me as a commanding figure on the touchline for the team.
If care is not taken, Nigeria would not qualify to play in the forthcoming World Cup. We need a coach that'll command the respect of the team. Especially the foreign based ones.

Who cares, next please, tinibu is a big problem to Nigeria, a bad luck, and a bad influence to the society, if them like make dem hire coach from Iceland, Nigeria will still not make it, rubbish

If Tinibu (Tinubu), as someone spelt it is the problem of the Super Eagles woeful performance.
Maybe we should hire Coach Peter Obi (the special one)
Since some narrow-minded moron here think Obi is the antidote to everything negative happening in Nigeria.
