
Rangers International Football Club has clinched the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, earning a reward of ₦150 million. The Flying Antelopes secured their eighth NPFL championship with a decisive 2-0 victory over Bendel Insurance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday.
Kenechukwu Agu and Chidiebere Nwobodo netted the crucial goals for the home team, delighting a packed stadium that included Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah. This victory marks the first time Rangers have won the NPFL title in eight years.
The team will be formally presented with the championship trophy after their final match of the season against Plateau United in Jos this weekend.
Under the leadership of head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, Rangers are set to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next season, aiming to bring further glory to the Coal City.
