Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has finally addressed the backlash she's received for her actions against online bullies. Recently, Gistmania reported that Toyin faced criticism for allegedly involving the police in the arrest of the mother of one of her critics, known as Big Ayo on X.
In a recent Instagram live session, Toyin Abraham clarified these accusations, firmly stating that she would never arrest someone’s mother and has not done so. The actress explained that she is being unfairly targeted by online bullies because of her political views, despite having committed no crime.
Toyin expressed her deep frustration and distress, revealing that the relentless bullying had pushed her to the brink. "I’m ready to die, but I’ll take a lot of you bullies with me," she declared passionately, emphasizing that she wants to ensure her bullies face consequences.
Addressing her followers directly, Toyin said, "I would not arrest anybody’s mum because I have a mother as well. I never arrested anyone’s mother. I have not committed any crime and I have only exercised my democratic rights, and they keep bullying me."
The actress shared her profound distress, pleading for the harassment to stop. She made it clear that she had only filed a petition against those defaming her, not arrested anyone. Toyin also alleged that people were being paid to ruin her career and life, but she remains unafraid, insisting she has done nothing wrong.
“I did not arrest anybody’s mother," Toyin reiterated. "I wrote a petition and they directed me to the cyber crime unit. I provided the necessary information, but I did not target anyone who simply insulted me without defamation. You accused me of taking money; I need proof of that. The truth will come out soon."
She concluded by stressing her determination to ensure that her bullies face justice: "These people were paid to bully me, to ruin my career, to bring my life down. I have not committed any crime. The only crime I have committed is exercising my rights, so I am no longer afraid. The way it is right now, I am ready to die, you guys have pushed me to the wall. But before I do, I will make sure that everybody that bullied me, everybody that defamed me, won’t go scot-free."
