Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has headlined the 2024 SummerJam festival in Germany.
The self-acclaimed African Giant headlined the festival, which was held from July 5 – 7 2024 in Germany.
Burna Boy gave the audience an electrifying performance with collections of his hit singles including ‘City Boy’, the audience was also singing and dancing along.
Other singers who performed at the Caribbean teamed festival, include Busy Signal and Bounty & Cocoa.
This is coming days after Burna Boy shutdown the 80,000-capacity stadium in London for the second time.
Following the sold-out show in London, Burna Boy becomes the first African artiste to solo-headline a UK stadium twice.
This historic milestone underscores his status as one of Africa’s most prominent global music icons. Nigerians have celebrated Burna Boy’s achievement with awe and pride, highlighting his international recognition and performance prowess.
Burna Boy has been very vocal about being the leader of the Nigerian music industry.
He sparked controversy years back after declaring himself the “blueprint” of the Nigerian music industry following his Grammy win.
His colleague Davido has also laid claim to Afrobeats’ leadership in the past.
