Nollywood actress, Ini Dima-Okojie on Thursday announced the return of her fibroid despite undergoing surgery two years ago to have them removed.
Gistmania recalls that in 2017 the actress first found out about her condition before undergoing a Myomectomy surgery in 2022 – an evasive surgery to remove fibroids – which gave her hope until now.
Taking to her Instagram page, Dima-Okojie shared a video, recounting how she began to notice the symptoms again while encouraging fellow women to go for tests on time.
Ini said she has decided to take another approach to shrink the fibroid other than the myomectomy method while hoping for a lasting remedy.
Captioning the video, she wrote, “My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.
“To every woman dealing with fibroids, I want you to know I see you. It’s not an easy journey, but my hope is that we can change the narrative and find a real and permanent remedy for fibroids.”
