
In a major operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has raided the Owena forest in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, leading to the arrest of 17 suspected drug dealers.
During the operation, NDLEA operatives destroyed 31,250kg of cannabis cultivated on 12.5 hectares of farmland. Additionally, 84kg of processed cannabis sativa was recovered, along with a single barrel Dane gun.
Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s spokesman, detailed the operation in a statement released on Sunday. Among those arrested were:
