A tragic incident occurred in Lagos, where a man identified as Fatai Mogaji was apprehended after allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend, Opeyemi. Mogaji had been on the run after reportedly stabbing Opeyemi multiple times.
According to the deceased's sister, Opeyemi had reunited with Mogaji on July 10, 2024, at a club in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state.
They spent time together, but around 5 am, an argument ensued, leading Mogaji to allegedly stab Opeyemi 22 times in different parts of her body.
The sister, who confirmed the latest development in a post on Monday, August 5, said the suspect was caught in a bar in Ikorodu and has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba.
“Good evening Friends, My sister's k!ller (Fatai Mogaji Abdulsalam) was caught last night at F1 Bar Ikorodu by well-wishers and Ope’s friends. He has been moved to Panti Police Station,” she wrote.
